Image & Copyright Policy

Text, buying guides, calculators, charts, tables, illustrations and photographs commissioned or produced by Top10EV are copyright of [Legal Entity Name] and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957. Limited quotation and citation are permitted under fair-dealing principles with attribution and a link to the original page on Top10EV. All other reuse requires prior written permission.

Where an article uses a press image supplied by a vehicle manufacturer or its authorised communications agency, the image is credited to the manufacturer. Manufacturer press images are used strictly for editorial purposes — to identify the vehicle being written about — and are not used in a way that suggests endorsement.

Where an article uses a stock or licensed image, the image is used under the terms of the licence held by Top10EV or its licensor. The credit line and licence are recorded internally and displayed on the page where required by the licence.

Vehicle names, model names, manufacturer names and their logos are used on the Services for identification and editorial purposes only. Their use does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or any commercial affiliation between the trademark owner and Top10EV.

If you submit a photograph, screenshot or other image to Top10EV — for example, to accompany an owner review or to illustrate a reader question — you warrant that (a) you own the image or have the rightsholder's permission to submit it, and (b) that its publication on Top10EV will not infringe any third party's rights. You grant Top10EV a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and display the image on the Services and in related editorial promotion. You may withdraw a submission by writing to the address below; we will remove the image from live pages within a reasonable time.

Where an illustration on the Services was produced with generative AI tools, it is used only for clearly illustrative purposes (for example, a diagrammatic hero illustration) and is not presented as a photograph of a specific vehicle or event.

If you believe an image or other content on Top10EV infringes your copyright, please write to copyright@top10ev.com and include: (a) your name and contact details; (b) the URL(s) of the affected page(s) on Top10EV; (c) a description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed and, where possible, a link to the original; (d) evidence of your ownership or authorisation to act on the rightsholder's behalf; and (e) a statement, made in good faith, that the use complained of is not authorised. Notices meeting these requirements will be reviewed under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

On receipt of a properly-formed notice, Top10EV will acknowledge the notice within a reasonable time and, where the complaint appears substantiated, remove or restrict access to the affected image or content pending further review. Where the notice is disputed, Top10EV may contact the uploader (if any) and consider written responses before deciding.

If your submission has been removed and you believe the removal was in error, you may write to copyright@top10ev.com with (a) identification of the content removed and its previous location, (b) a statement of the basis on which you believe the removal was in error, and (c) your contact details. Top10EV will review the counter-notice in good faith.
