What the warranty actually covers
The battery warranty typically covers defects in materials and workmanship, plus a capacity-retention guarantee expressed as a minimum State-of-Health (SoH) percentage over the warranty period. Both parts are separate; read the specific booklet for your vehicle.
What can void coverage
Unauthorised software modifications, tampering with the battery management system, use of non-approved chargers or connectors, and consistent operation outside the manufacturer's specified conditions can void battery coverage in whole or in part.
